Trasylol Lawsuits Filed in Florida

Attorneys representing clients that were harmed by the anti-bleeding drug Trasylol have filed eight lawsuits on their behalf in Florida. An unknown number of people may have suffered kidney failure and death following open heart surgery in which Trasylol was used. A study in Canada last year showed that the risk of death increased 50% for patients in which the drug was used.

Was Trasylol Pulled Over Lawsuits?

A man died after Trasylol was used in his open heart surgery. His widow filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of the drug and the drug was pulled from the market shortly thereafter. Bayer claims they are just evaluating the drugs safety after a Canadian study showed the risk of death is increased by 50 percent after use of the drug.

Widow Files Trasylol Lawsuit

A woman that lost her husband after he had heart valve replacement surgery in which Trasylol was used, has filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer. The Trasylol lawsuit filed against Bayer is asking for $80 Million in damages. Joseph Randone suffered through leg amputation surgery and was on a ventilator for 8 months following his surgery. His kidneys failed and his surgeon blames the Trasylol.

Second Trasylol Lawsuit Filed

The lawfirm of Napoli Bern & Associates, LLP has filed our second lawsuit dealing with Trasylol on behalf of a widow that lost her husband following heart surgery. Dr. Arthur Feinberg was given Trasylol during his surgery in 2005. A Canandian study has shown that the drug manufactured by Bayer AG can increase the risk of death by 50 percent over two other antibleeding drugs.
